Prerequisites
· Avast Business Ultimate licence for each device.
· Supported Windows device.
· Supported manufacturer hardware.
· Reliable internet connectivity.
· Administrative access to install required agents.
· Supported third-party applications for patching.
· No conflicting antivirus software installed.
· Device must be in vendor support and less than 5 years old.
· Hardware should be covered by a valid manufacturer warranty.
Setup
· Setup and configuration of the Avast antivirus management console.
· Deployment of Avast antivirus and patch management agent.
· Policy configuration aligned to security standards.
· Real-time protection configured to operate alongside Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
· Patch management policies for OS and third-party applications.
· Exclusions and application rules configuration.
· Integration with monitoring and alerting systems.
· Initial system scan and patch baseline check.
· Documentation of configuration.
Maintenance
· Antivirus definition and engine updates oversight.
· Continuous threat monitoring and alert review.
· Operating system patching oversight.
· Third-party application patch monitoring.
· Endpoint protection health checks.
· Patch compliance monitoring and reporting.
· Scheduled scans and automated remediation oversight.
· False positive management and policy tuning.
Support
· Investigation and response to security alerts.
· Malware and threat remediation.
· Patch failure investigation and resolution.
· Manual patch deployment where required.
· Device isolation and containment where required.
· Reinstallation and recovery after infection.
· Escalation to Avast or third-party vendors where required.
· Ongoing tuning based on emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
