Prerequisites
· Supported server hardware and supported ESXi/hypervisor version.
· Host must be in vendor support and less than 5 years old where hardware is involved.
· Hardware should be covered by a valid manufacturer warranty or support agreement.
· Administrative access to hypervisor and management interfaces.
· Backup and monitoring arrangements in place.
Setup
· Initial ESXi/hypervisor host configuration.
· Management network and datastore configuration.
· Storage and networking validation.
· Security baseline configuration.
· VM inventory and resource configuration review.
· Monitoring and backup integration.
· Documentation of host configuration.
Maintenance
· Host health and uptime monitoring.
· Datastore, CPU, memory and hardware resource monitoring.
· Patch and security update review where applicable.
· VM and host performance monitoring.
· Backup coordination.
· Configuration backup and lifecycle tracking.
Support
· Troubleshooting host, datastore, VM connectivity and performance issues.
· VM restart or migration coordination where applicable.
· Hypervisor configuration changes within scope.
· Vendor escalation where required.
· Incident response for host outages or degradation.
